Description: The Curry Advanced Source module incorporates all the functionality of the Basic Source Analysis module in addition to adding current density, distributed source models to the source reconstruction utilities, statistical analysis, and source coherence. The density reconstruction functionality includes a variety of minimum norm modules including Low Resolution Electromagnetic Tomography (LORETA), Exact Low Resolution Electromagnetic Tomography (eLORETA), Standardized Low Resolution Electromagnetic Tomography (sLORETA), and sLORETA-weighted accurate minimum norm method (SWARM). This module also incorporates the functionality of the Signal Processing module and adds integration of Electroencephalogram (EEG), Magnetoencephalography (MEG), Electrocorticography (ECoG), Electrocardiogram (ECG), Magnetocardiography (MCG), with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), Computed Tomography (CT), Positron Emission Tomography (PET), and Single-Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT).

The Advanced Source module is part of the Curry Neuroimaging Suite. The Curry Neuroimaging Suite software is divided into several modules that can stand alone or work together. The Curry 7 modules utilize Microsoft Access, while the Curry 8 modules utilize SQLite, by default. The technology uses a database structure that allows for optimized data management. Within the database, subjects can inherit the parent`s parameters, allowing automated processing to be built into the database. Additionally, macros can be developed to handle most processing task, complete with the ability to design interactive and tutorial programs. The database is used to select the files users want to work with. The database stores only references to data files, i.e. their file names and folder paths, and not the files themselves. Database files do not contain the data themselves but rather point to the files on the hard drive (or external drive).
Technology/Standard Usage Requirements: Users must ensure their use of this technology/standard is consistent with VA policies and standards, including, but not limited to, VA Handbooks 6102 and 6500; VA Directives 6004, 6513, and 6517; and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards, including Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS). Users must ensure sensitive data is properly protected in compliance with all VA regulations. Prior to use of this technology, users should check with their supervisor, Information Security Officer (ISO), Facility Chief Information Officer (CIO), or local Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) representative to ensure that all actions are consistent with current VA policies and procedures prior to implementation.
Section 508 Information: This technology has not been assessed by the Section 508 Office. The Implementer of this technology has the responsibility to ensure the version deployed is 508-compliant.
