Per the Initial Product Review, users must abide by the following constraints:
- Ensure configuration of user group and access permission are implemented and monitored.
- Only authorized, properly identified and authenticated users should be allowed to use HPE iLO. Also, user’s activities should be well monitored and logged in accordance with the VA Enterprise Configuration Policy.
- HP addressed the flaw in August 2017 with the release of the iLO 4 firmware version 2.54. It is recommended that system administrators use iLO 5 version 1.43 or later and keep track of applicable patches and fixes when they become available.

This technology requires using a Universal Service Bus (USB) technology to transfer data into the records. As such, proper precautions need to be taken to protect data.
Per the Initial Product Review, users must abide by the following constraints:
- HPE iLO will require a 3rd party FIPS 140-2 certified solution for any data
containing PHI/PII or VA sensitive information.
- Ensure configuration of user group and access permission are implemented
and monitored.
- Only authorized, properly identified and authenticated users should be allowed
to use HPE iLO. Also, user’s activities should be well monitored and logged in
accordance with the VA Enterprise Configuration Policy.
