Description: DX NetOps Performance Management monitors, stores, analyzes, and displays information for assuring service quality across large, complex, multi-technology, multi-vendor network infrastructure. This module provides systems monitoring for fault and performance management of physical systems and applications for Windows, UNIX and Linux platforms.

This Infrastructure Manager (IM) module detects and forwards system and application faults to Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) based managers on multiple platforms and across several technologies. In conjunction with IM, this module allows centralized monitoring of systems, networks, databases, and applications across physical environments to provide status, performance, availability, and configuration information. Product can monitor any Unicode Transformation Format 8 (UTF-8) encoded system or application log file by searching for strings specified as regular expressions including Windows event logs. Product can also monitor any single process or system service and is capable of operating in Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS 140-2) mode.

DX NetOps Performance Management is the new name for CA Systems Performance for Infrastructure Managers (SPIM). Broadcom purchased this technology from CA Technologies. With Broadcom`s DX NetOps 21.2, users can now apply business hours filters to data in any views, dashboards, or context pages to enable pinpoint focus on a specific time period for network performance triage.

The TRM decisions in this entry only apply to technologies and versions owned, operated, managed, patched, and version-controlled by VA. This includes technologies deployed as software installations on VMs within VA-controlled cloud environments (e.g., VA Enterprise Cloud (VAEC)). Cloud services provided by the VAEC, which are listed in the VAEC Service Catalog, and those controlled and managed by an external Cloud Service Provider (i.e., SaaS) are not in the purview of the TRM. For more information on the use of cloud services and cloud-based products within VA, including VA private clouds, please see the Enterprise Cloud Solutions Office (ECSO) Portal at: https://dvagov.sharepoint.com/sites/OITECSO
