Description: AccuPoint Data Manager Software is a sanitation monitoring application. This technology allows users to create test plans, sync data with the AccuPoint Reader, and keep an objective record of sanitation effectiveness to verify Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs). This technology is used in conjunction with several AccuPoint hardware products including AccuPoint 2 Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) Sanitation Monitoring System.

This technology comes preloaded with the hospital information including room numbers and departments, such as the Intensive Care Unit (ICU); however, it does not contain any patient information. Hospitals can add employee names into the software, which allows it to link the cleanliness results with the appropriate employee who cleaned the room. When the user of the monitoring system goes into a hospital room, they toggle to the appropriate employee name and room number and swab the required surface for cleanliness results. The monitoring system then gives the results of the reading, and the results are prepopulated into the AccuPoint Data Manager Software.

Data is stored in an SQLite database.

Users must ensure sensitive data is properly protected in compliance with all VA regulations. Prior to use of this technology, users should check with their supervisor, Information Security Officer (ISO), Facility Chief Information Officer (CIO), or local Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) representative to ensure that all actions are consistent with current VA policies and procedures prior to implementation.
