Description: Q Local Scoring and Reporting Software is a technology used for multiple psychological assessments and standardized reports. It provides an interface that allows users to score and report on psychological assessments. Test entry methods include taking the test at a computer, manually entering responses from completed answer sheets, or scanning answer sheets. It uses a database for recording and keeping track of scores.

Note: The vendor is no longer offering new purchases of this technology, and is retiring the network licenses on 07/2024. Current customers can migrate to the Desktop version of Q Local or move to the new Q-Global platform. Q Local Desktop will still continue to receive support through 2024 with no de-support date at this time.

This technology utilizes a Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server 2014 Express Edition SP2, which is configured upon installation, to store data. Users must ensure that sensitive data stored at rest is properly protected via other VA approved methods that support Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).
Technology/Standard Usage Requirements: Users must ensure their use of this technology/standard is consistent with VA policies and standards, including, but not limited to, VA Handbooks 6102 and 6500; VA Directives 6004, 6513, and 6517; and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards, including Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS). Users must ensure sensitive data is properly protected in compliance with all VA regulations. Prior to use of this technology, users should check with their supervisor, Information Security Officer (ISO), Facility Chief Information Officer (CIO), or local Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) representative to ensure that all actions are consistent with current VA policies and procedures prior to implementation.
