Description: MouseOx Plus software includes basic monitoring and parameter alarms for all of the vital signs provided by the MouseOx Plus Rat & Mouse Pulse Oximeter & Physiological Monitor, a pulse oximeter for mice and rats. This software features Heart Rate, Peripheral Capillary Oxygen Saturation (Sp02), Breath Rate, Breath Distension and Pulse Distension for basic monitoring applications, and also includes trending charts, real time recording options, file markers for noting important events, and a quick averaging diagnostic feature for spot-checking. This software is intended to be used in research-based applications.

This technology is available in two editions; Standard and Premium. The Standard edition includes all of the basic functionalities of the software and is intended for basic monitoring applications. The Premium edition includes the base functionalities of the software as well as trending charts, real time recording options, and other utilities intended for research-based applications. Both editions are free to download. The scope of this entry is for both editions.

This product does not store data in a database as files generated by this technology are saved to the user`s local drive.
Technology/Standard Usage Requirements: Users must ensure their use of this technology/standard is consistent with VA policies and standards, including, but not limited to, VA Handbooks 6102 and 6500; VA Directives 6004, 6513, and 6517; and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards, including Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS). Users must ensure sensitive data is properly protected in compliance with all VA regulations. Prior to use of this technology, users should check with their supervisor, Information Security Officer (ISO), Facility Chief Information Officer (CIO), or local Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) representative to ensure that all actions are consistent with current VA policies and procedures prior to implementation.
