Description: DSS Consult Tracking Manager Plus (CTM) is a web-based software solution that provides an instant, up to date dashboard view of the status of all patient consults in a clinical environment. Consult Tracking Manager is a server-based software that integrates with clinical data within the Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) System using a Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Broker interface connection and `serves` a Graphic User Interface (GUI)/web application that is accessed through a client web browser.

CTM contains various dashboards that allow an authorized user to create and organize custom views for consults, appointments, alerts, and Return To Clinic (RTC) orders. These dashboards display real-time changes to records which allow the user to better triage patient contact attempts, scheduling activities, and the tracking of various supplemental fields (i.e. community care, beneficiary travel) that are not currently discrete data in the consult file. CTM has integrated the Consult Toolbox (CTB) to ensure that consult factors are appropriate updated when taking actions on a consult.

Each dashboard allows the user to view details and apply actions for any individual record in accordance with the security permissions on that record. Authorized users have the ability to:
  • Apply appropriate actions to a consult or RTC order such as (canceling, forwarding, completing/dispositioning)
  • Schedule or link an appointment to a consult/RTC
  • Resolve personal view alerts related to a selected consult
  • Appointment management features such as check-in, check-out, no-show, schedule walk-in, etc.
Data is accessed within Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA).
