Description: Prime is a component of Schrodinger`s Biologics Suite. Prime is a protein structure prediction program that incorporates the complete protein structure prediction process from template identification, to alignment, to model building. Refinement can then be done from a separate set of panels, and includes side-chain prediction, loop prediction, binding-site refinement, and minimization. This software can also be used for prediction of the binding energy and strain energy of a set of ligands in a protein-ligand complex. The structural alignment utilities can be used to align two or more proteins so that the similar regions are aligned.

Prime does not utilize a database but requires the BioLuminate interface to run. This software stores data in the form of files, locally, on the user`s hard drive. If the underlying storage devices are encrypted, then by proxy all file data will be encrypted at the hardware level. No additional encryption is a part of any of Schrodinger`s file formats.

Please note, the support/technical documentation is only accessible by the account holder/purchaser of the technology, and is not readily available to users without an account on file with the vendor.
